From the Elders

We recognize that seasons of transition can bring questions, uncertainty, and change. As elders, we want to communicate with the congregation as clearly and faithfully as we can, keeping you informed about important developments in the life of Grace Community Church.

This page will serve as a central place to find updates from the elders, important church communications, and additional information about our ongoing work and plans for the future. Our desire is to communicate with honesty, wisdom, and care while respecting the privacy of those involved in sensitive matters.

We understand that rebuilding, strengthening, and moving forward together takes time. We ask for your continued prayers, patience, and participation as we seek the Lord's wisdom, remain grounded in His Word, and work together toward the health and unity of our church. Our hope remains the same: to be disciples who make disciples, who live and love like Jesus.

Our Path Forward

Project ONE: (Rebuild Team) - Rebuilding together. Growing as one. (John 17:20-23)

Our Purpose

Project ONE exists to help Grace Community Church become a healthier, more unified church by strengthening the governance, policies, and operational processes that support our shared mission.

Building on the findings of the September 19–20, 2026, Grace Assessment, the team will help clarify roles and responsibilities, develop sound and sustainable processes, and recommend updates to our bylaws and governance structure.

Our goal is not simply to change how the church operates, but to establish a healthier foundation for trust, accountability, cooperation, and effective ministry—so that we can better fulfill our calling to be disciples who make disciples who live and love like Jesus.

Timelines

  • October 25th – member submittals due to elders (elders@gccfred.org)

  • November 1 – Trustees will choose members

  • November 8 – First meeting – orientation and expectations

Commitment

Members will participate anywhere from 3 months to 1 year depending upon how well we are able to reconstruct and approve the revision of the Bylaws and key operational processes.
