In our Greenhouse Children’s Ministry, we strive to cultivate a safe climate where kids connect with Christ. Over the last 7 months, we have engaged with our kids and parents at home with resources, teaching and activities to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. After much prayer and planning, we are at the point where we can start to safely open up our classrooms to reach a limited number of children in person.
Our mission field is great and bursting with life! We recognize that there are families willing and able to safely regather in person. We want to use the resources we have to meet the needs of these families in person while also ministering to those who need to remain distant.
We believe parents are the primary disciplers of their children. We want to not only create an environment for growth in our children but also help our parents grow through connection with the church community, teaching and worship on a regular basis. We feel opening our classrooms is another way to encourage families to connect with the Body.
What are we doing?
Beginning Sunday, November 1st, we will open up a Nursery Sprouts (walkers – 3 ½ yrs.) class and Prek/K class (3 ½ yrs. – K) during our 9am services on Sunday mornings. These classrooms will have a limited number of spots available to ensure we can keep our kids and volunteers safe.
We will be working hard and evaluating our safety procedures and resources so that we can gradually open up classes in person for our 1st – 5th grade students who are ready to return.
We will continue to have our Sunday morning “Growth Club” Zoom held virtually at 11am for our Preschool-5th graders who are not ready to return in person.
