About the Event

This will be a heavily intense fast paced-week. Students will be working hard throughout the entire week. While we know this trip has an immense benefit for students, it will push them. This trip is designed to have students step up out of their comfort zone, and rise up as leaders during this week. This form is designed to be an application for the trip that both Fletcher and Angie will review. **NEW this year. In light of the demands of this trip, upon receiving the application students will receive a commitment form that is required and outlines expectations for the trip.

This summer Lighthouse Youth Ministry will be partnering with LeaderTreks to take two teams to their Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach locations for a weeklong mission trip. LeaderTreks is a youth ministry organization that uses mission trips as a training ground to help students grow as disciples and leaders. LeaderTreks is not only focused on serving the communities they send their teams to, but also heavily invested in helping the teams grow in their faith. They have been running mission trips since 1994 and have mastered the craft of utilizing mission trips to develop students into leaders. They also have an impeccable track record in safety.

Both Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach are located in South Carolina and focus on helping meet the physical needs of the community as well as providing opportunities for relational ministry in partnership with the local church. These trips are specifically designed to help students grow in their faith and leadership ability. Students will be equipped to be effective in serving God on their site as well as back home when they return. Students in 6th-12th grade may register.

These trips will take place on July 24th-30th and the cost is $595 a person. We do not want cost to be a deterrent for anyone being able to attend! Should you need help in exploring options to pay for this trip, please email Fletcher Abbott at fletcher@gccfred.org. All registrations must be submitted by April 1st.

Please note: The Myrtle Beach site is pending availability at the site. If Myrtle Beach is unavailable this year, the second team will be relocated to Florence, SC.  Teams and site placement is determined based on registration and will be announced after the registration deadline on April 1st.
